Manager of the engineering / development function — owns deliverables, code quality, team productivity, and security/privacy posture under DPDP Act 2023, CERT-In Directions and ISO/IEC 27001.

- External stakeholders: SaaS / cloud providers (AWS / GCP / Azure), OWASP / ISO 27001 auditors, CERT-In (CIRT reporting via SysAdmin / DPO), Open-source community / SBOM

Roles & Responsibilities
- Plan releases, sprints and capacity with product / business stakeholders.
- Review architecture, designs and major code changes; mentor seniors; enforce privacy-by-design (DPDP Act 2023 Sec 8) and security-by-design (OWASP, ISO/IEC 27001).
- Drive engineering practices — CI/CD, code review, SAST/DAST, observability, SBOM.
- Manage team — hiring, onboarding, 1:1s, appraisals and growth plans.
- Own production stability, incident response and post-mortems; coordinate CERT-In 6-hour incident reporting via SystemAdmin / DPO.
- Coordinate with QA, DevOps, security and infra teams; ensure data-localisation choices align with DPDP rules.
- Track engineering metrics; report MIS to leadership.
